Welcome

Welcome to ‘The Early Career Researcher’ – the hub where you can obtain answers and advice to your most puzzling questions about academia. Here, you get support in your developing researcher identity. Together, as we build our academic careers and the research cultures of our respective communities of practice, let’s:

  1. Shed those feelings of researcher ‘imposterhood’
  2. Sit at the feet of sages
  3. Stay in the know.

What does it mean to be a researcher in today’s fast-paced, digital world? Are you lost? Bewildered? Overwhelmed at the sheer amount of information that is available to you? We know this feeling all too well. There is a chasm between this unsteady starting point and the solid ground of becoming an established researcher. The ECR Hub is a community of educators and researchers that is dedicated to meeting you where you are. You gain access to the mentorship, wisdom, resources and encouragement that you need to confidently stride into a career as an academic researcher.
